Deep tissue does NOT equal deep pressure. This is one of the most common misconceptions! Deep tissue work is about specific techniques and targeting deeper muscle layers, not just applying more force. More pressure doesn’t always mean better results, and in some cases, it can do more harm than good.
Everyone’s body is different, so what feels “good” will vary from person to person. Always communicate your pressure preference with your therapist so your session is effective, comfortable, and pain free!
