Most of you already know I love running as a hobby, and doesn’t really come as a surprise. But what might be a surprise, is another favorite hobby of mine?
Baking 😍
YES. I love to bake. And not to pat myself on the back but I’m pretty good at it. Breads, cakes, cookies, all the things. No I’m no professional or gourmand, but my kids do tell me I make the best bread ever 😂
And you know what? Why not? Why shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy baking?
Why should it be such a surprising thing about me? Sure, I love fitness and helping people reach their goals to get healthy. But would you expect me to run all day every single day? Or lift all day every single day?
Like all things in life, treats are perfectly fine in moderation. I don’t bake everyday, and I certainly don’t eat the spoils of my baking moods everyday!
I use them as opportunities. Time to slow down and enjoy the sweeter things in life (pun intended). To find joy in simple things like a cookie. To spend time with my kids who now love to cook, and teach them lifelong skills. And sometimes we share our spoils with friends and neighbors. Just because
So, baking can still be considered part of a well balanced life right?
