Herbal Edge was built around the questions I’ve asked for years as a supplement customer and industry operator.

When I evaluate products, I’m not looking for reassurance or slogans. I’m looking for documentation; sourcing details, manufacturing standards, and testing that answers real questions.

That perspective came from working on the wholesale side of the CBD industry, where verification isn’t optional and assumptions are expensive.

This post outlines how that way of thinking became a playbook for how Herbal Edge operates.

The CBD industry often asks consumers to “do their own research.” - without giving them the tools to do it well.

The problem is that much of the information needed to verify sourcing, manufacturing practices, and testing claims isn’t made public by the seller.

Herbal Edge was built to change that.

Before we bring products on, we independently verify ingredient sourcing, manufacturing practices, and lab testing - then make that information available so consumers can evaluate it for themselves.

This sounds like it should be standard practice... but its not.

A lot of online CBD stores never actually touch the products they sell.

They dropship items selected from a distributor catalog book without ever using the products themselves. No testing. No review. No direct knowledge of what they’re selling.

At Herbal Edge, the process starts with handling the products ourselves. Even with years of experience evaluating products, quality can’t be assessed without touching the product.

Then the products are sent to an independent lab for testing. If everything checks out, we even take our own photos before launch... Sometimes with a little help from my office assistant, Kilo the cat.

Most people don’t really know where their CBD comes from. That’s not an accident.

CBD marketing is intentionally opaque: designed to hide the fact that many brands are simply relabeling products made by someone else.

At Herbal Edge we never relabel other people's products as our own. Instead we partner with great makers who stand behind their work, and talk about why their formulas impressed us.

We believe this kind of transparency should be standard. Education should be free. And customer service should mean more than a chatbot and a return policy.

We’re not promising magic remedies. We’re promising to show our work. Its less exciting than the boom-bap marketing you see on Instagram, but that’s the point.
