The issues to be tackled:
Aimed for children in Bonaire who have low status and low self-respect, who are regularly and repeatedly suffer violence, exploitation, abuse, child labor, and harmful traditional practices such as early marriages or be allowed to have relationships with much older men when in early teenage years. These are unfortunately widespread problems, occurring globally, however they are particularly bad in Bonaire as a result of long-held traditional beliefs, attitudes which indicate 'the child comes last'. older man or family do not see the harm being done to the child by their conduct AND financial stress due to low incomes. It is against this background that ‘Fundashon Respeta Mucha is taking action. This sort of mentality is under the accepted moral standards and the way of thinking: ‘Do not involve yourselves in our business’ so the child abuse go on is not acceptable and will be fought against to create high moral standards to protect the children rights and dignity for the children. Our aim is also for children to have higher self-esteem and are fully aware of their own rights. Indirect Education:
From a holistic point of view ‘Fundashon Respeta Mucha’ will talk about HIV/ AIDS and gender discrimination
