💜Update:💜
After our follow-up EEG and meeting with Dr. Bello in August; he and Dr. Jafrani spoke in depth about WesliAnn’s case. The conclusion was made that WesliAnn will be having a frontal left lobectomy. We had a follow-up telemed with Dr. Jafrani who is confident that surgery will make a huge difference in WesliAnn’s seizures and her quality of life. He mentioned anywhere from 45-75% seizure reduction! That is HUGE! Thankfully, we were able to get this scheduled quickly and around Blakely’s softball schedule. We are at complete peace with the decision, although it is scary. We know God has our sweet girl in his hands and guided our steps for this exact time. Her surgery date is September 24th.

Update:

Some of you may know, I was blessed to be able to go on a mission trip to Italy the middle of July. We worked with a local church and had a VBS for the local kids. It was an amazing experience and one I will cherish for years to come!

While I was gone, Clint contacted me and said that WesliAnn's seizures had gotten worse. I was so frustrated, mad with God, and upset that I wasn't home with them. That Sunday, Bro. Jerry preached on HOPE. This was a "God-wink" for me because WesliAnn's middle name is HOPE. Even thousands of miles away - God was assuring me that he was with my girl and she was going to be ok. WesliAnn's drs said they wanted to increase her medication.

We have a few follow up appointments that were already scheduled for August 11 & 12. She will have an MRI, EEG, meet with Neurologist and GI dr.

As crazy as it sounds, please pray she has a seizure during her EEG so they can pinpoint (again) the focal of where they are coming from.

Blakely's first day of CC is August 12, so my mama heart is hurting that I will miss something else of Blakely's for WesliAnn doctor appointments. My big girl is the sweetest big sister and wants WesliAnn healed probably more than anyone. She said, "Mama, I will be ok, go get Boogie taken care of." I love her and her huge heart!

Please pray for the upcoming appointments and for the days leading up that her seizures will lessen and she will be seizure free!

We had a visit from 💙🍪CookieMonster🍪💙 before we got discharged from the hospital! I don't think WA was sure what to think of him! 🤭

🎉We have made it safely back to Holmes County and so happy to be home!

❓️The biggest question we have gotten is: "Have the seizures stopped?"

🧠Dr. Jafrani (neurosurgeon) said that the first few months "don't count". He said her brain has to completely heal from a major surgery.

🗯So to answer that question, we don't know; time will tell! We both believe that God is healing our girl through all the steps we've taken through the years! We are just trusting in Him and His timing!

💜As always, thank you for praying for our girl and us during this journey! Now we will rest and recover at home!💜

This little cutie got her hair washed today! She was NOT a fan during, but was really happy when we finished!

Her ability to continue to smile through everything never ceases to amaze me!💜

She's my hero!

Having a good day over here! We are keeping an eye on WesliAnn's sodium levels, but nothing too concerning. Swelling is still there, should be the worst today (day 3 post op). She is our happy smiling girl!

We have been moved into the Special Care out of PICU! 🎉🎉

Our sweet girl amazes me with how tough she is! So proud to be called her Mama!

All good over here. We're just hanging out in the room. We are waiting for a room in Special Care to move out of the ICU. She is in good spirits!

WesliAnn is out of surgery and everything went great! We will update and keep everyone posted through the week with any updates and cute pictures!
