💜 Update on our WA: 💜

NucMed was only in the room for about 40 minutes when WesliAnn had a 2-minute seizure—exactly what was needed to inject her for the test. They got her down, and the scan was successful!
Because everything aligned so perfectly, we decided to stay in Orlando to knock out Part 2 this Friday. Getting this done now is a huge relief.

While the scans are done, WesliAnn’s body hasn't caught a break. All week and through the weekend, she has been having large seizures, requiring her (1st stage) emergency meds almost every day. It is exhausting for her, and for us.

The "Neuro Board" now has her MEG, Interictal, and Ictal SPECT scans. Her name is BOLD & UNDERLINED on their list to discuss. The doctors and surgeons will be determining our next steps and possible surgical options.

🙏🏻 Please pray with us for: 🙏🏻
💜 Rest: For the seizures to "chill" so WesliAnn—and Mama and Daddy— can rest.
💜 Guidance: For total clarity and wisdom for the surgeon and doctors as they review her case this Thursday.
💜 Peace: For us as we prepare to hear the board's recommendations.

💪🏻💜She is a true rockstar! Thank you for walking this journey with us. 💜💪

We have officially been admitted for WesliAnn’s scheduled SPECT scan here in Orlando. Our girl is all hooked up to the EEG and settled in. 💜

As crazy as it sounds, we are asking for a specific prayer: Please pray that she has a significant seizure tomorrow. For this test to be successful and give us answers, the medical team needs to capture an event in real-time. It’s a strange thing to wish for, but it’s the key to moving forward in our journey.

WesliAnn is so strong, but we truly feel the power of this community behind us. Thank you for walking this path with us and for your continued prayers.

💜 WesliAnn Update: Trusting God Through Every Step 💜

We have some important news to share about our strong girl, WesliAnn!
As many of you know, she tackled her biggest brain surgery to date back on October 1st. In true WesliAnn fashion, she flew through recovery, and we started the journey of true healing at home.
We were overjoyed to witness 5 weeks and 6 days of seizure freedom! For our girl, that is absolutely huge. Unfortunately, in the 6th week post-op, we witnessed a return of seizures, and Tuesday of this week was a very rough day that required emergency meds.

💖 The Silver Linings 💖
I am always amazed at how God works through everything, even with the challenges, the good news shines through:
* Her sweet giggles and purposeful laughs are still here!
* She continues to make good eye contact with us.

🩺 Appointment Updates 🩺
* MRI: Looks great! The post-op scan is exactly what the doctors expected.
* EEG: We asked for prayers that she would have a seizure during the recording—and about 10 minutes before being disconnected, she had one! We were able to successfully record it on the EEG! 🙌

Dr. Bello was happy about the seizure-free time but concerned about the return. He noted that her "background" on the EEG was much better.

➡️ Next Steps & The Plan
Dr. Bello stated there is no medical evidence to suggest her seizures are coming from the right side of her brain (the recent surgery was a partial lobectomy on the left lobe). He believes the seizures are continuing to originate from somewhere else in the left lobe.

He is moving forward to discuss with his colleagues and prepare for advanced testing, including a MEG scan, SPECT scan, & SEEG, to confirm the source and create the next plan.
Through all of this, God is good. We are trusting and believing in Him for our sweet, strong girl!

Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support. We feel every bit of it! 🙏❤️

This picture deserves a post all on it's own!

Dr. Jafrani has performed all 5 procedures on WesliAnn's brain, with this one being the biggest to date. I can't say enough about him, he is not just her doctor/surgeon, he has become a good friend to us. He really cares for our girl and it shows. We love him and the team he has at APH (past & present)!

Her shirt says, "Excuse my hair! My super awesome neurosurgeon did it!"

💜Day 2 Post-Op Update!💜

Celebrating the little victories with WesliAnn today! She had a good 💩 diaper and is finally tolerating slowly increased feeds thanks to some Zofran.
The doctors are happy with her healing! They also changed her bandage on her head today! Her incision looks great and a exactly like the one from May!

Thank you all for the continued love and prayers! She's doing great!

We got a little smirk, typical WesliAnn, last night! 😏

She's out. We should get to see her in 30 mins. We'll write something up, but the surgeon said everything went good.
