"Yoga is 99% practice and 1% theory."- Pattabhi Jois๐ฟ
๐The best way to learn yoga is by doing it! ๐Here are a few poses you can do to start your day:
1. ๐ฎCow Pose: come on hands and knees. Inhale to lower your belly and slightly arch your spine.๐
2. ๐ปCat Pose: from Cow pose, exhale round your spine and look at your belly-chin towards chest.
Repeat ๐Cow-๐ฑCat Pose a few times.
3. ๐Gate Pose: come on your Right Knee and lengthen your Left Leg in line with your right hip-knee.
Inhale reach your right arm up and over towards your left side, breathe out.
๐ฌ๐จStay for a few breaths to open up your side body.๐ฌ๐จ
Then switch sides.
4. ๐ฃStanding Forward Fold: no you don't need to touch your toes here!๐ Stand up tall, reach your arms up on an inhale.
Exhale fold over your legs, soften your knees, go as far as feels comfortable. Don't push yourself too far. Place your hands on your thighs or shins and relax your neck.
5. From your Standing Forward Fold, inhale to lengthen your spine. Half Standing Forward Fold.๐
Exhale fold down, relax your head.
6. ๐ด๐ปOn an in-breath come all the way up to stand up tall in Mountain Pose. โฐ
Ground down through your feet, lengthen the back of your neck and soften your shoulders.
๐Good job!๐
