He did it!! Doug crushed it at the 6-Hour World Time Trial Championships in Borrego Springs, CA — taking 1st Place in the Fixed Gear 60-69 Division with 91 miles in 5 hours and 45 minutes! 🔥👏

So proud of him for his strength, grit, and determination. What an incredible accomplishment — your dedication and drive are truly something to admire, Doug! 🏆🙌

Many of you may not know, but last week I had the complete honor and privilege to be the crew chief of Joe Lawhorn who is one of the worlds best Long Distance/Ultra cyclist.

Joe is a injured combat veteran who raced in an event called "Race Across the East". RAE (as its also know for) is a 630 mile non stop event from Ohio to Atlantic City NJ.

We supported and watched Joe manage the summer heat and climb the endless Appalachian Mountains both day and night with only one hour off the bicycle. Joe never wavier from his race plan and successfully overcome both planned and unplanned obstacles to keep the bike moving forward.

Joe ended up in 2nd place overall and 2nd place in his age group!

Along as crew for Joe was his fellow combat buddies, Randy and John with former pro cyclist Allan !

Thank you again for the support and encouragement to all of our wounded veterans !

We are in Barrengo Springs, CA at the World Time Trials. Doug has partnered with Joe Lawhorn to form a 2 man team 🚴🚴. They are switching back and forth riding an 18 hour loop for 24 hours. They started yesterday at 5:00pm, 11 hours to go!!!

These two riders say a Spiegel bike 🚲 is the only way to ride! Thank you Spiegel for creating these amazing bikes!!
