Castor oil is a fatty oil that is made from the castor seeds of the castor bean plant. Castor oil has many potential health benefits, including improving bowel motility, supporting liver health, improving skin health, lymphatic function and more.

Castor oil is also commonly used in wound healing. Its wound-healing effects may partly lie in supporting circulation, tissue oxygenation, and blood flow.

However, we still need more research on the potential circulatory and tissue-oxygenating benefits of castor oil.
