Trauma Still Remains

Trauma Still Remains Providing trauma-informed advocacy and healing resources through content, community, and survivor support. We share from the scars, not from the textbooks.

🖤 Welcome to AfterVoices
At AfterVoices, we are not just a support page—we are a response to the silence. A place where survivors, storytellers, advocates, and those still fighting to be heard come together to reclaim what was taken: their truth. We are not licensed professionals or certified therapists—yet. But we are real people, living through real trauma, and still choosing to speak. One truth, one voice, one breakthrough at a time—we rise together. What Makes AfterVoices Different? Unlike other spaces, we don’t whisper our stories—we amplify them. We don’t just post quotes—we open wounds, name the pain, and hold space for healing that doesn’t look perfect. Our mission is to dismantle silence, challenge shame, and remind every survivor:
You are not too much. You were just never heard the right way. This space is built on:

✔ Unfiltered Storytelling – No sugarcoating. No shame. Just raw, real experience.
✔ Survivor-Led Advocacy – Built by the broken, for the brave.
✔ Resources & Reflection – Tools to navigate healing in your own way.
✔ Safe & Sacred Community – Because silence dies where connection lives. What to Expect Here:
🔹 Deep, Personal Stories – Shared not for pity, but for power.
🔹 CPTSD-Aware Conversations – Centered on complex trauma and long-term healing.
🔹 Coping Tools & Journal Prompts – To help you process your own voice.
🔹 Safe Sharing & Discussions – No judgment. No pressure. Just space.
🔹 Future Support Circles & Healing Events – Because trauma shouldn’t be carried alone. This isn’t just a page. This is the place you find your voice after the silence. You’re not too late. You’re not too broken. You are here. And that is everything. Welcome to AfterVoices.

First, I want to sincerely apologize for the consistent name changes along this journey. It’s taken time, trial, and reflection to build something that feels right — but now it finally does.

I’m proud to share that Trauma Still Remains, based here in Boston, MA, is now a fully formed business dedicated to providing tools, resources, and support for those navigating the weight of trauma and healing.

This page isn’t just a business — it’s a safe space. My goal is to create resources that help people feel seen, heard, and supported.

If I can ever be of aid to you — whether through encouragement, tools, or resources — please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re in this together. 💙

Some of us didn’t just grow up fast.
We were forced to.

🖤 Trauma Still Remains 🖤

Do you ever get tired of pretending you’re okay so people won’t leave?

Tired of carrying silence because the moment you speak, you’re called too much, too broken, too emotional?

This space isn’t for the ones who had it easy.
It’s for the ones who survived the unspoken.
The ones who were left behind, silenced, ignored.

You are not weak.
You were forced to be strong in ways no one ever should.

Trauma Still Remains is where voices find release.

Where pain is named.
Where healing has permission to begin.
If this reaches something deep—
you’re not alone anymore.

Stay awhile. Your voice belongs here. 🖤

Understanding PTSD vs. Complex PTSD is crucial for proper support and treatment. PTSD often results from a single traumatic event, while Complex PTSD arises from prolonged or repeated trauma. Both require distinct approaches to healing.

It's safe to say that no one processing trauma has ever felt better by hearing, "Some people have it worse than you," or "Everything happens for a reason." These phrases, though often well-intentioned, can minimize someone's pain and make them feel misunderstood or dismissed.

Instead, let's offer words that acknowledge their experience and provide comfort. Consider saying, "I want to be present with you in your pain. How can I support your healing?" or "Your feelings are valid, and I'm here to listen." Sometimes, just being there, offering a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on, can make a world of difference.

Additionally, you can express, "It's okay to feel what you're feeling. Take your time to heal, and know that I'm here for you every step of the way," or "You don't have to go through this alone. Let's take it one day at a time together." These statements not only validate their emotions but also reinforce that they have a supportive ally in their journey toward healing.
