“Can I still eat my cafesito con leche y queso… AND reach my fat-loss/strength/muscle-building goals?”

YES. 😌 Yes you can.

I LOVE my cafesito con queso. So I here’s how I do it. 👇🏽

First is protein.
I want at least 15-20g protein with every meal for that muscle recovery.

Drinking coffee morning brings me so much joy… especially with foamy full-fat milk. So I’ll add to my milk frothier my milk with a little bit of egg whites (not only does it add protein and is taste-less… it makes it FOAMIER 🤤).

Second, I take my favorite slice of cheese and since my goal at the moment is fat loss, I just purchased the lighter version (which tastes exactly the same to me).

You can always interchange and do a full-fat cheese with a low-fat milk here too.

So here is 20g protein, 20g carbs, and 10g fat all for the same flavor and deliciousness of your regular cafe con queso. 😋

BUEN PROVECHO 🤗

My macro tracker is super similar to my budget.

I budget to reach my savings goals.

I track macros (depending on the goal I’m pursuing) to reach my athletic/physique goals.

Are any of these tools needed? Absolutely not.

But do they help in the short-term? Of course!

I have ONE spot open for 1-1 nutrition and fitness coaching. DM for info. 💖

Your Friday reminder that more than half of your body is made up of WATER. Let’s talk about it.💧

💡 Water is essential to keep brain and all your organs running smoothly. Your body naturally detoxes itself with enough water.

While the mainstream recommendation of 8 glasses/1 gallon a day of water is great, there are other great ways to increase your water intake! ⬇️

1. Eat more fruits and vegetables as they contain up to 90% of their mass as water and also contain potassium, a key electrolyte. 🍓

2. (My favorite during the colder months!!) Soups are high in water content and generally contain ample amounts of sodium which helps retain water. 🍜

My winter meal plan has PLENTY soup recipes that are nutritious and delicious. Link in bio! 💖

There’s SO MUCH DEPTH… 😳

This is why I believe having variety and enjoying our foods is just as important (if not more) as any physique or aesthetic goal we may have. 💪🏽

I always consider these factors and give every client a unique experience. DM me for more info on 1-1 nutrition coaching and personal training. 💖

How my mornings have been going as of late…

Comforting bowls of avena y farina. 🥰

Comfort foods are not always “unhealthy”.

They’re nutritious, nourishing and necessary for overall happiness (esp. if you’re a foodie like me 😋).

Farina, for example, is very high in iron, a mineral that the body needs for growth and development.

Avena is higher in fiber and just accepted as a “health food” everywhere - but with the right toppings can be incredibly comforting.

Share some of your morning comfort foods in the comments!

A friendly reminder that your body deserves your love at EVERY stage. The tired. The bloated. The slim. The curvy.… etc. Shower you with kind and loving words and watch you thrive.

Mantras for today (and always):

I give love.

I receive love.

I am love.

It’s LOVE season! 💞💗💓

This took me a while to realize. But essentially, there is no act self-love if it is not in the direction of self-mastery.

When we practice self-discipline, we practice self-love. And I am not perfect or claiming to be perfect at any of it, it’s all about the intention and practice.

Do something today and every day that your higher self will thank you for. ❤️

MONDAY MOTIVATION👇🏽

How do I stay motivated?! 🤔
Im not always motivated. But a combination of personal values and goals keep me disciplined.

👉🏽 When your goals are not enough to keep you motivated… it can be hard to stay consistent. Not having a specific goal in mind and just doing it because “it’s good for you” can make it just as difficult, too.

When my “why” just no longer resonates or when I’m going through a period of my life where it doesn’t hold a high priority (such as moving, changing careers, processing grief etc.), I like to deal with a lack of motivation in two ways.

1. Surrounding myself with supportive people who have the same values as me. The people that I spend my time with inspire me to do more and achieve more, especially when it comes to fitness.

2. Switching it up completely. When I was processing grief, getting up to go for a run or the gym to lift was a task I couldn’t fathom doing. But I turned to yoga - so almost every day for a whole month I practiced at least 10 min of yoga, which is still movement, and it was exactly what I needed to tune into my body, process heavy emotions, and heal.

While having goals is great, I like to think that there’s never a destination with health and fitness. It’s all about the journey. It’s never linear or nor perfect - but it’s unique to you!

Happy Monday!

Idk who needs to hear this buuuuut…

to “tone” you must strengthen your muscles…

and this kind of aesthetic you’re looking for comes from strength training… not HIIT or running 5k’s. 🙃

Cutting out anything in the name of health is just a miserable way to live life imo (except for when you have a chronic illness or recommended by your doctor ofc).

The goal isn’t to cut out but to limit while maintaining an active lifestyle!

Opt for foods with natural sugars like apples, bananas, and baby carrots, or other fruits/veg when you can!

Cheers,
Kriz
