Halloween fun doesn’t have to mean spooky! 👻 For babies and toddlers, focus on the fun — not the fright. Keep costumes comfy, celebrations short, and let your little one explore at their own pace. Remember: there’s magic in pumpkins, twinkle lights, and tiny giggles — not just trick-or-treating! 👻🎃🍬

Your baby’s bottle may look clean, but over time, scratches, cracks, and cloudy spots can form! This wear and tear can harbor bacteria and make cleaning less effective which can affect your baby’s health. 🧼🫧

Regularly checking and replacing bottles and ni***es keeps feeding safe and healthy. 🍼✨Always take a quick peek before each feed - it can make all the difference!

Age two is the sweetest kind of hard! 2️⃣

It’s sticky fingers holding your face saying,
‘love you, mama,’ right before a meltdown because you gave them the wrong color cup. It’s kisses, giggles, and tiny ‘I do it myselfs’ mixed with tears, big emotions, and exhaustion — theirs and yours.

At two years old, your little one is growing in every way — walking, climbing, running, jumping and exploring the world with new confidence. You might notice those first two-word sentences and BIG toddler emotions as independence starts to bloom. They’re learning to follow directions, express needs, and build early friendships through play. 🧸🪁

You may notice your two year old playing pretend, playing alongside other children, increase independence and have big emotions with their favorite word being “NO!”. They’re learning how the world works, and how their emotions fit into it. You might see new skills one day and big meltdowns the next — both are signs of healthy development. As a parent, your love, patience, and presence are the best support they could have. 💛

Remember, milestones aren’t checkboxes, they’re moments to connect! Take time to celebrate their progress and not compare their pace to others!

Two is where your heart melts and breaks a little every day as they grow and grow! It’s where the sweetness softens the chaos. It’s where the hard parts remind you just how deeply you love this little human you’re raising! ☀️🪴✨

As the due date nears, many moms-to-be experience a sudden surge of energy known as the nesting instinct — an irresistible urge to clean, organize, and prepare your space for baby’s arrival. 👶🏽🍼

This instinct often kicks in during the final weeks of pregnancy (around weeks 38–39 or just before your due date). It’s believed to be fueled by hormonal changes, anticipation, or even a little boredom and restlessness as you await your baby’s debut!

During nesting, you might find yourself:

🤰🏽 Prepping for baby: Packing your hospital bag, setting up baby gear, or stocking the pantry.

🤰🏽 Organizing everything: Sorting baby clothes, color-coding closets, putting away shower gifts, or decluttering every corner.

🤰🏽 Deep cleaning: Scrubbing baseboards, tackling the bathroom, and making sure the nursery sparkles.

🤰🏽 Researching and learning: Diving into childcare books, birth courses, or newborn care videos for hours on end.

While nesting is incredibly productive, it’s also a form of emotional preparation — your natural way of creating a safe, cozy space and mentally readying yourself to welcome your newborn into the world. 💕

Do you ever notice you’re holding your baby on your left side unintentionally. Approximately 60–90% of mothers and caregivers instinctively hold their babies on their left side.

✨ Let’s dive deeper ✨

This may seem like a random habit, but it’s anything but random. It’s actually called “cradle bias” or “left-sided cradle bias.” Behind this simple habit is a deep rooted neurological explanation. 🧠

This “left-cradling bias” is linked to the right side of the brain’s role in processing emotions and social cues, meaning that cradling on the left exposes the baby to the mother’s more expressive left face and the mother’s heartbeat, which is soothing.

🤍 When you hold your baby on the left side, your right brain stays more active.

The right hemisphere of your brain is the part that processes emotions, facial expressions and building connections. When you hold a baby on your left side, your right brain hemisphere becomes more active which is actually helping you better read their cues and understand their needs. And without even realizing it, a mother activates her brain’s emotional radar, tuning into her baby’s needs more deeply and intuitively.

The baby also hears the caregiver’s heartbeat more clearly when held on the left side, which can be soothing—especially for newborns who are comforted by rhythmic, familiar sounds from the womb. 🫀

This is a habit that even little girls who play with their dolls adopt. Even some non-human mammals hold their young like this! And if you think about it, it’s so beautiful! 🩰

It’s love in its most scientific form and that is beautiful! 🪴 Its connection and pure instinct built on a built-in bond amplifier.

Nature really leaves nothing to chance, not even the way we hold the people we love most of all. 🤍

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. 🌈 Today we remember all the babies born sleeping, the ones lost in the womb and the babies that were born but left us too early 🤍

Today we take a moment where we pause, together, to remember the babies we never got to hold long enough but changed us forever.

We will forever remember the babies we never got to hold, but will love for the rest of our lives. Because love doesn’t disappear when life does 🩷🩵
