Don’t get me wrong — I LOVE the look! Just make sure you’re choosing a timeless faux-fur piece and not a one-season trend
Choosing also a low-pile coat that can translate as a neutral 3rd piece to go with most of your jeans wardrobe (for those who think wearing faux fur looks “too much”) —it doesn’t have to be!

Here are more of my tips on shopping for the perfect Teddy, followed by OOTD inspos—

What to look for in a coat:
🤎Clean, classic silhouette (straight or lightly tailored)
🤎Short or mid-length pile — smooth > shaggy
🤎Neutral tones: brown, black, cream, espresso, muted gray

If it could’ve been worn 10 years ago and still work 10 years from now — that’s the one.

Stop guessing and start knowing your style science. One of the simplest (and most powerful) rules?

Dressing in 1/3s — aka proportions.
Instead of splitting your outfit 50/50, aim for:

1/3 on top, 2/3 on bottom

or 2/3 on top, 1/3 on bottom

High-waisted pants + cropped jacket? ✔️
Long coat + mini skirt? ✔️
Tucked tee + tailored trousers? ✔️

Once you understand how proportions work for your body, getting dressed stops being hard. You’re no longer asking “Does this look good?” — you know it does.

Finally dropping the secret recipe behind one of my most asked-about casual outfit combos! 🤫👩‍🍳

These pieces layer up or down depending on the season—tank in the heat, sweater layer when it cools—and it never misses. It ALL also fits right under a black/neutral puffer jacket in the winter utilizing the moto jacket as an added extra layer if you’re in the Northeast like I am!

Most of these pieces are from older collections, but here are key buzzwords + dupe inspo to recreate it (highly recommend checking The RealReal or Poshmark 👀):
