This one is gonna be a little bit long, y'all, so bear with me.
This is straightforward, and deeply personal: when you as an individual act out of self-preservation, is there hidden within your action an inherent kernel of self destruction that is unleashed?

I'm talking about the general concept of self preservation... Taken another way, if one acts to save oneself, but does so in a hasty, reactive way, does one in fact inadvertently set in motion a self destructive pattern? I'm truly not thinking of any specific people or incidents, and certainly nothing political. This is about YOU, my friend, YOUR actions (or reactions), YOUR patterns and YOUR results, desired or unexpected.

This question came up on my memories on my personal FB page, and there was much discussion on the original post. When I noticed the date, I realized that I was asking this question a full three and a half years before my Awakening the Spiritual Heart coaching came into being, but it is a foundational concept for that work.

How does this show up for you? What ways have you acted to protect yourself which in fact led to unintended consequences and potential collateral damage?

I've got a secret and I'm ready to share it!

Bet you didn't know that I've studied astrology since 1986!

Why haven't I been more public about this?

I'll be honest - I've had a love-hate relationship with astrology. So many astrologers are focused on negativity, "OH NO! Mercury is Retrograde - don't leave the house and unplug everything for the next 3 weeks" ... "OMG! You're having a Saturn Return!! The next 2.5 years of your life will be hell on earth!" You know what I'm talking about. This sense of being at the mercy of something so totally beyond anyone's control ABSOLUTELY. DRIVES. ME. NUTS!

So I've found myself doing the cha cha - one step forward, two steps back - on this subject. Until Now.

I found an approach that marries psychology with astrology, focusing on the natal chart as a blue-print of self-discovery to help empower people to live a life in alignment with their soul's purpose.

I had to learn more - so I did. A lot more! Several months of study more, to be exact!

My dear sister from another mister, Vicky Pinheiro of inspired me to experiment with my food - so last time I cooked with a fresh habanero, I planted some of the seeds.
