Daily, I am witnessing remarkable individuals, former colleagues, and friends being terminated from roles they have dedicated themselves to. These individuals made significant sacrifices to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans. Their dismissal is due to the current administration's preference for ignorance over intelligence, lies over science, intolerance over compassion, and exclusion over belonging. This situation is alarming and discouraging. The misinformation and ignorance will cost lives. I can't believe we are here.

Billina Shaw, MD, MPH, FAPA, FASAM you are a phenomenal psychiatrist, advocate, leader and an even better person. I am so sorry. You and many others deserve so much better than this
