Come work with me! Walden is a truly supportive and collaborative work environment. I am immensely privileged to be a part of this community and to work alongside outstanding clinicians, dieticians, nurses, physicians, and NPs. I recall in training, we consistently emphasized "never worry alone." Walden embodies this statement and upholds a cooperative, interdisciplinary team model.

Daily, I am witnessing remarkable individuals, former colleagues, and friends being terminated from roles they have dedicated themselves to. These individuals made significant sacrifices to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans. Their dismissal is due to the current administration's preference for ignorance over intelligence, lies over science, intolerance over compassion, and exclusion over belonging. This situation is alarming and discouraging. The misinformation and ignorance will cost lives. I can't believe we are here.

Billina Shaw, MD, MPH, FAPA, FASAM you are a phenomenal psychiatrist, advocate, leader and an even better person. I am so sorry. You and many others deserve so much better than this

This is another example of what happens when unqualified, racist individuals are given jobs they haven't earned and are not skilled enough to hold. DEI is supposed to ensure that those who are actually qualified, but are frequently oppressed and discriminated against, are hired and acknowledged for their incredible skills.

This move is another example of the ignorance, hatred, and mediocrity that has consumed the government and our country. Rather than celebrating the historic accomplishments of Americans who fought and sacrificed to save this country, racists are working so hard to erase and hide the strength and brilliance of women and people of color. This isn't DEI, this is weak men doing weak things

Oklahoma legislators just introduced a bill to abolish the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse to the Department of Corrections. So simply existing with a mental health diagnosis makes you a criminal? Those in Oklahoma, please fight this.

"A new bill introduced in the Oklahoma House by Rep. Justin Humphrey seeks to abolish the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and transfer its duties and resources to the State Department of Corrections.

House Bill 1343, filed this week, would transfer all responsibilities—including real property, records, and funds—from the Department of Mental Health to the Department of Corrections. The bill, which would take effect on July 1, 2025, also declares an emergency, meaning it would become law immediately upon passage and approval.

If passed, the legislation would significantly alter how Oklahoma handles mental health and substance abuse issues, consolidating those services under the state’s corrections system."

Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services; duties; powers; responsibilities; State Department of Corrections; real and personal property; effective date; emergency.
