The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center (EBNHC) has been a vital part of the community for more than 50 years. From the beginning, our organization has been defined by the needs of East Boston and the communities we serve. We are the largest ambulatory care center in New England and more than half of our patients are best served in a language other than English. Our mission is to promote and sustain healthy communities, families, and individuals by providing accessible, person-centered, compassionate, high-quality health care services to all who live and work in our service area, regardless of ability to pay, while upholding diversity, equity, and inclusion at the core of all that we do. Becoming a confident Advanced Practice Provider (APP) takes more than a classroom!
Our Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program is a two-year experience designed to support early-career nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PA) as they build clinical confidence in real-world, community-based care.

The first year focuses on intensive, hands-on training, followed by a second year when fellows provide direct patient care under the supervision of experienced, compassionate providers.

Thank you to our fantastic supervisors for supporting the next generation of primary care providers. APP Fellows – You got this! We are proud of all of you have accomplished.

📣 Exciting news! NeighborHealth is proud to be one of eight community health centers receiving funding from the Healey-Driscoll Administration through the Family Nurse Practitioner Residency Grant Program — a significant step to boost the primary care workforce across Massachusetts.

This support will help us nurture the next generation of NeighborHealth primary care providers and bolster our bench of experienced clinical mentors and supervisors.

Thank you to Secretary Kiame Mahaniah, State Senator Lydia Edwards, and State Rep Adrian Madaro for helping us grow our talented primary care workforce!
