💜 Thank you to all those who attended our ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of our new public health vending machine at 10 Gove Street in East Boston.

As Boston’s first 24-hour public health vending machine, launched in partnership with the Boston Public Health Commission, this initiative marks a major milestone in our recovery support services, offering free, anonymous access to life-saving resources in a judgment-free setting.

On Wednesday, staff members from NeighborHealth and Boston Public Health Commission came together in East Boston to unveil the city's first-ever 24-hour public health vending machine, stocked with items such as Narcan, fentanyl test strips, safe injection kits, condoms, socks, blankets and more. The machine is the first of its kind in Boston to offer free products around the clock and have outdoor access.

NeighborHealth's Desiree Millet to GBH News: "Substance use itself is a community issue, and if it's not being addressed at a community level, then we're missing a really big component of it. And this machine itself is addressing so many different areas."

🌿 Last month, we welcomed Rep. Adrian Madaro to the East Boston Farmers Market! His visit highlighted the importance of food access, youth empowerment, arts & culture, and local economic development—values at the heart of our market.

We're grateful to the nearly dozen community organizations that join us every Wednesday in Central Square Park, connecting neighbors with fresh produce, local vendors, and cultural experiences.
