Hijo del maestro, compositor y pianista Benjamín Solís Menéndez y la Profa. María Rhina de Solís. Contrajo nupcias con Gloria Elizabeth Flores y fruto de su amor son sus hijos Mauricio Benjamín y Gloria Elizabeth, amantes de la música y quienes también ejecutan guitarra y violín respectivamente.
