This month is a time to honor the history, culture, and pride of the disability community—and to reflect on the importance of true inclusion and equity. Disability Pride Month commemorates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26, 1990.

At , we support the rights, visibility, and value of individuals with disabilities every day—not just in July.

Disability Pride is about embracing identity, breaking down stigma, and building a world where everyone is respected for who they are. The first Disability Pride celebration began in Boston in 1990, and since then, communities across the country have come together each July to celebrate.
