Turn “ugh, I think I’m getting sick…” into “good thing I’m prepared.” 😷🧦

Build your own Cold Care Kit before the sniffles hit:

Soft tissues for those nonstop sneezes

Cough drops to soothe that scratchy throat

Honey & tea for cozy, calming sips

A reliable thermometer to track your temp

Save this so you’re ready when cold season comes knocking—and remember, if symptoms get worse or you’re not feeling better, our urgent care team is here to help. 💙

RSV isn’t “just a cold” — especially for little ones and older adults.

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is a common virus that affects the lungs and airways and can become serious in infants, young children, and older adults.

Know the symptoms: cough, runny nose, fever, wheezing or noisy breathing.
Help prevent it: wash hands often, avoid close contact with people who are sick, consider masking in crowded spaces, and talk to your provider about RSV vaccines for eligible infants, pregnant individuals, and older adults.

Protect the ones who need it most—awareness and prevention go a long way.

This year, we’re keeping it simple and sustainable:
• Move your body every day
• Drink more water than yesterday
• Protect your sleep (no more “just one more episode”)
• Add more plants to your plate
• Take your steps, not your stress, to the next level
• Cut down the scroll time, tune in to you

Small daily choices → big long-term change.

Your future self is watching what you do today!

Small habits = big health wins:
🥗 Nourish your body. Build your plate with colorful veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains to lower your risk of many chronic conditions.
🏃‍♀️ Move with purpose. Regular activity boosts mood, strengthens bones, and supports heart health—aim for a little movement every day.
🧴 Guard your skin. Use sunscreen, seek shade, and cover up when you can to reduce long-term sun damage and skin cancer risk.

Protect your health now, so you can enjoy more tomorrows.

Ever wonder who’s behind the red AFC doors?

Meet Michelle Amacker, the Nurse Practitioner-turned-local-owner who’s been caring for patients since 2006 and now calls Boulder County home. From her early days working in an AFC clinic in Denver, she saw firsthand what difference it makes when patient experience comes first—so she decided to build that kind of care right here in our community.

Today, Michelle owns and operates four AFC Urgent Care clinics in Louisville, Boulder, Baseline, and Longmont. Her passion? Pouring into her team so they love coming to work—because when your medical team feels supported and appreciated, that shows up in every visit, every conversation, every diagnosis, and every follow-up.

Outside the clinic, she’s a Colorado mom who loves to travel, try new local restaurants, and recharge with daily meditation—just like so many of us balancing family, work, and wellness.

When you walk into AFC in Boulder County, you’re not just a patient on a chart—you’re a neighbor. And Michelle’s mission is to make sure you feel that from the moment you step through the door. 🏔️
