Eskimo has 50 different words of snow. Japan has 24 season names breaking down to 72 detail seasons. Each detail season has meanings, different colors associated, things to expect, what to be careful with. Can we take the journey together, learning from ancient people's wisdom. We are in Keichitsu, which means the Yang Qi is in the air, attracting the creatures to come out of the ground. Spring is on its way. It is time to stretch, going outside to take a walk and welcome the young warm energy around us.

Japanese Acupuncturists train the sensitivity of our hands to identify the precise acupuncture points for each patient. A hair-thin needle, with the subtle and precise manipulation makes it effective.

Good morning! I’d like to share the breathing method that I do several times a day to regulate the nervous system, digestions, and improve circulation in the body. One of the most important elements of the traditional Asian medicine is the direction of movement and the breathing method embraces it.

Ai Kakuta, principal Japanese acupuncturist at Boulder Japanese Acupuncture clinic, shares the breathing...

The eminent 17th century practitioner Kaibara wrote a book on Yojo. Yo 養 means nourish and cultivate something precious. Jo 生 is your life and body. The Yojo Acupuncture system is to regulate three key areas: stress, digestion, and blood circulation. The simple approach activates a self healing power within.

It has been three years since I have started brewing herbal medicine for asthma every day. The effect on asthma and bronchitis is astonishing but most of all, I’m in love with the color and texture of plants. Gifts from the mountain. 💜💜

When I painted this art, I felt, I was hitting the bottom of my life. I found a small courage to climb. Climb up a mountain. A big mountain in front of me. Lately, I realized that a mountain is there, just the same way I'm there. I simply enjoy walking in the mountain now, and do not see it as something that I need to conquer. It's not that I'm giving up. I'm finding a different way to live harmoniously. Nature has the effect on people. It is easier to understand how things are. SEN-GA-DAICHI KAII-KONRYU are words spoken by Dogen Zen monk back in 12th century in Japan. It means, Mountain, River, and Earth. They are the Budgha. For that reason, antient people had a small essense of Nature inside of the house such as painting, calligraphy, and small flower arrangement. Doesn't that make sense? DM me if you are interested in an art print of this mountain. I hope you have something small at home to remind you of Nature.
