Our celebration of Autism Awareness Month continued across our Med Center Health Physical Rehabilitation family 💙

We're so proud of our teams at Scottsville, Russellville, Bluegrass Outpatient Clinic, and Caverna clinics for coming together, wearing blue, and showing their support for the individuals and families we serve every day.

These group photos capture more than just a moment, they reflect the compassion, dedication, and heart our teams bring into their work. Across every location, we remain committed to raising awareness and continuing to share the many meaningful ways physical rehabilitation can support growth, independence, and quality of life.

April is Autism Awareness Month, and our Med Center Health Pediatric Outpatient Rehab team loved celebrating in a meaningful way all week long 💙

On April 2nd, we wore blue to recognize Autism Awareness day and show our support for the individuals and families we are so lucky to work with every day. Our space was filled with special touches, from colorful balloons to door decorations, all created to spread awareness and celebrate the uniqueness of every child we serve.

One of the highlights of this week was helping each of our kiddos create their own special treat bags to take home. It was such a fun way to spark conversations and share a little extra joy.

Inspiring the Next Generation 💙

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to be part of the EDGE Encounter in Logan County, welcoming local eighth grade students as they explored future career paths.

This event introduces students to a wide range of opportunities including healthcare, professional services, construction and manufacturing, public service, agriculture, and small business entrepreneurship. Students were able to hear directly from professionals, ask questions, and take part in hands on experiences that brought each field to life.

We were especially excited to see that healthcare was the most chosen pathway of the day! It's always encouraging to see so many students interested in caring for others and making a difference in their communities.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a meaningful experience for these students. We loved being part of such an impactful day.

Patient Success Story: Meet Tasha! 💙

When Tasha first arrived at Med Center Health Rehabilitation - Franklin, she was facing significant challenges following an infection that led to severe weakness and deconditioning. At that time, she required considerable assistance with everyday tasks and mobility, and the road ahead felt uncertain.

Throughout her stay, Tasha built meaningful connections with her therapy team, including Jessica Shell, COTA; Gabby Pare, PT; and Kelli Satterly, PTA. With their support, and through her own strength and determination, she approached each day of therapy with focus and commitment.

Over time, Tasha made steady and inspiring progress. With an individualized treatment plan and consistent effort, she regained her strength, endurance, and confidence. By discharge, she had returned to independence with daily activities, was walking without an assistive device, and had resumed full-time work.

Tasha's journey reflects resilience, perseverance, and trust in her rehabilitation process. It was truly an honor for our Med Center Health Rehabilitation team to be part of her care.

Tasha, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey! We're cheering you on as you keep moving forward!

At Med Center Health Physical Rehabilitation, we're proud to create a supportive and welcoming environment for every patient and family we serve.

In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, our Pediatric Rehabilitation team wore colorful, mismatched socks featuring eyes and smiley faces. When you sit close together, the socks can even "hold hands", serving as a fun and meaningful reminder of connection, inclusion, and support for the patients and families we see each day!

We feel honored to be part of each child's journey and to support the families who trust us with their care,

Today and everyday, we celebrate them!
