We would like to continue to celebrate Speech and Language month with introducing Courtney. Courtney Rager is a speech-language pathologist specializing in adult rehabilitation across both acute care and outpatient settings. She delivers wonderful patient centered care to Bluegrass Outpatient and Med Center Health acute care! Her clinical experience includes management of medically complex patients in the acute care setting, including dysphagia, stroke, neurological disorders, critical illness, and communication barriers. She is passionate about helping patients improve quality of life and restore communication! Thank you for all you do!

Happy Speech Therapy Month!

Throughout the month of May, we take time raise awareness for a variety of communication, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders. Speech language pathologists treat individuals across the lifespan in areas far beyond verbal communication.

Med Center Health celebrates the phenomenal work of speech clinicians. Dawnelle Lawrence, MS, SLP is as a speech language pathologist at Med Center Franklin, where she has served for 26 years. She treats adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. When asked her favorite thing about her speech career, Dawnelle indicates the fulfillment she receives when she sees her patients gain quality of life through improvements in their communication and/or ability to eat and drink. Dawnelle’s passion and pride for her work shines through in every patient encounter. We appreciate Dawnelle and the difference she makes!
