When we pause enough to be present for the little things: cool moments, beauty in nature, or even smiles that light up a face, it can be quite amazing to really take in how good life already is.

There is so much of the good stuff around us when we make a point of noticing it.

Happiness depends on how you appreciate and enjoy what you have, whether it is a lot or little. There are people who have very little and are much happier than those who have great fortunes.⠀If you want to be happy, start by appreciating everything around you and stop complaining about what you don’t have. It is almost impossible for all areas of your life to be complete at once, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t be happy with what’s already in your hands.

The smell of coffee in the morning, your little daughter’s smile, dancing to a song in the middle of the living room with your partner, running after butterflies with your dogs, seeing the stars, a good conversation on the beach, feeling the breeze on your face, a leisurely hot bath… These are the little things that give us happiness, don’t you think?⠀

Be grateful for the ones already in your life, and curious about who you have yet to meet. We really don’t know what’s around the corner. Focus on the good stuff, and you will find more of it.

Longing is part of being human.

There will always be something we miss, want, or wish was different.

But gratitude helps us stay connected to what is also true:

what is here, what is good, and what is quietly supportive, right now.

Gratitude softens mind games and opens new options.

Time and time again we hear the phrase that life is too short and that we should do it now before it’s too late. Isn’t it ironic that this call to action always seems to come after someone or something close to us has been taken away?

We say things like "I wish I had said..." or "I wish I had done..." after the opportunity has just slipped by. Sometimes the most essential words are the ones we wish we had shared, breeding regret, guilt, and a tangle of rough feelings…

Sooooo, the next time you want to express your feelings to the people you care about, TELL THEM!

1. Tell a friend how much you love them.
2.Tell your team how much you value them.
3.Tell a stranger that you admire their style, their smile, whatever it may be…

Every moment is an opportunity to help people feel seen, feel loved, and that they matter. The future cannot be predicted. In a very real way, all we have is now.
