Provide compassionate end-of-life support for pets and their families.

UVM’s Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula Certificate is ideal for pet owners, veterinary technicians, and end-of-life care workers looking to expand their skill set and make a difference. Through a 6-week program, you will build confidence while learning key skills in this growing industry, including:

- Doula care and the human–animal bond
- Grief support and self-care practices
- After-death care and memorialization

“When I saw UVM’s companion animal end-of-life doula program, it was the perfect marriage of my interests. I wanted to learn more about how cultures react to the death of both humans and animals, but also through that knowledge, I could be useful for others, and in my own experiences as a dog owner,” said Emily Wills, Program Alumnae.
