Love this!! ♥️
As we step into April and 🇺🇸 America's 250th anniversary year, the Lewistown Downtown Association is proud to launch our Q2 series: "Rooted in Lewistown."
Over the next 3 months, we'll be tracing the story of our community and Central Montana decade by decade, from 1776 right up to today, building excitement for the big July 4th weekend celebration that will happen in your downtown and at the fairgrounds. (Details coming soon! 👀)
Every week we'll be sharing a new piece of Lewistown's story. Historic photos. Forgotten names. Moments that shaped this community in ways you might not expect. From the Native nations who called the Judith Basin home for thousands of years, to the Métis families who founded "Louis Town" on Big Spring Creek, to the railroads, stonemasons, and homesteaders who built the downtown you walk through today.
Lewistown's story is rich. It's layered. And it's worth telling.
We're honored to share it with you and we can't wait for you to see what's coming. Follow along, share with your neighbors, and let's celebrate this community together. 🇺🇸🏔️
