4800 Gym offers a wide variety of training options to help you reach your goals. Although every person has different reasons for joining our gym, most people are simply looking for something different. We emphasize proper technique and safe practices over heavy weights and fast times. We train you to eat for health, longevity, performance, weight-loss, and muscle-gain. Finally, we empower you with the knowledge of why you do these things. Expectations
Joining our gym does not entitle you to anything. This place is for motivated individuals who understand that everything gained here is earned, not given to you. We will train anyone who walks through our door, but we expect a significant commitment on your behalf. We will not "hold your hand" through your training here, but if you meet us half way, we guarantee the results you’re looking for. Community
You will quickly find that this gym is a community of people working towards the same common goal. Instead of strangers charging away on Stairmasters, I-pods stuffed in their ears and faces in a magazine, the members here are expected to encourage one another through difficult workouts, and congratulate you on your latest personal best. Training without a purpose is a lot like banging your head against the wall: It hurts, but you’re not getting anywhere meaningful. Our intention here is to improve your lifestyle outside of the gym, so whether you are simply trying to lose weight and feel better, get ready for ski season, put on muscle for football, learn the Olympic lifts, or just generally make positive changes in your health, 4800 Gym can be the cornerstone of your progress. We communicate regularly with Bozeman-area Physical Therapists and Doctors in order to ensure that you receive safe, efficient, and effective ways to rehabilitate from injury and get back to your active lifestyle as soon as possible. We are experts in designing a workout that is appropriate for any level of fitness or ability, including anyone struggling with an injury, or with limited range of motion.

4800 GYM members,

This morning, with a heavy heart, I’m proud to announce that on August 15th, our current space will become the Mountain Project. With other avenues in life for me to pursue, it will be beneficial for the members to have a fresh presence in the gym. Michael Wolfe, a world renowned outdoor athlete, is taking over the space and will be starting the Mountain Project. It has been important to me that the gym is going to be passed on to someone who has a similar mindset for training athletes and a devotion to the outdoors. From my first conversation with Mike, I knew he was the right person. Mike will bring his dive and dedication to training to a new level for all and I am looking forward to training with him as well. 4800 has always been a passion project for me and I have never once thought that 4800 was ever a job. I feel lucky to have coached and spent time with all of you over the years. Some of you have been with 4800 since the gym started in our small 1800 sq foot space next door in back in 2007. The community of people that have walked through the door and the friendships that have been made are invaluable to me. 4800 would never have never have been possible without all of you all as caring, hardworking and loyal members. We are lucky to have had some of the best coaches with us over the past years and I greatly appreciate every one of you who has helped out and brought strength, endurance and smiles to all of us. I will miss seeing all of you as a coach, but am excited to work alongside you as an athlete in the future.

Thank you all for an incredible ride over the past seven years. It has been an amazing journey and I can’t wait for the next step in life.

On to the next exciting adventure!
