Welcome our new Community Education Coordinator, Hailey! ⛷️ 💚

Hailey is originally from Bend, OR, where she first glimpsed the positive impact of evidence-based and trauma-informed sexuality education as a Peer Educator teaching in her local school district. After graduating from the University of Vermont in Public Health Science, she is now a certified Health Education Specialist and has experience integrating inclusive and empowering reproductive care in medical and community settings. Hailey is excited to join the Bridgercare team and Montana community in providing enriching and affordable education to all. When not working, you can find Hailey racing into the backcountry to ski, sweating in hot yoga, and cheerfully flailing at various art projects!

Thinking about getting an IUD but nervous about the pain? You’re definitely not alone. Social media has helped normalize conversations about IUD insertions (yay for that)! But it’s also sparked a lot of worry.

Let’s walk through what’s happening during an IUD insertion, why discomfort can happen, and what can be done to make it a smoother experience. Being informed can make a big difference! The main thing to remember is that everyone is different!
