It’s all about connections...

Whether you're a teen fighting with your parents, a parent feeling disconnected from your child or struggling to co-parent with your spouse or ex, a middle schooler going through a massive friend group upheaval, a young adult trying to figure out your relationship to yourself and how to function now that you're in college, or if you're in a relationship or marriage and trying to figure out how to feel the love and connection that you used to feel but is now elusive, relationships are the center of our lives. Depression often leads to a deep sense of loneliness. Anxiety drives the people around us crazy. Stress impacts interactions with those we love. At Center Counseling, we think about people in the context of their relationships and we work to help our clients feel more whole within themselves and in their relationships. Our counselors work with tweens, teens, parents, divorced moms and dads, young adults, and those going through rocky times in their marriage or committed relationships. Because we have several counselors in our clinic, we are able to match clients with the therapist that is the best fit for your personality and your needs.

Specialized care for the whole family

We have counselors with years of experience working with tweens, teens, and young adults in a variety of settings and at Center Counseling, we always think about kids in the context of their family which means we include parents (and at time the school) in the work. We have counselors who are trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and who use Atkinson's approach to marriage counseling and integrate the neuro-biological perspective of relationships. Whether you're looking for premarital, early relationship skill building, or help with a long-term relationship that has slowly slid toward "less than optimal functioning," we can match you with the right therapist. If you are looking for a counselor who gets that relationships are primary ... and that your relationships or those of your child are off kilter because of depression, anxiety, stress, poor communication, lack of trust, or conflict, call us to find out which counselor will be the best fit for your child, your family, or you and your spouse/partner.

There is no handbook for this stuff...
