Today is Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement. While I consider myself culturally Jewish, I like to take parts of the religion into my own spiritual practice. For today, that means spending time alone (minus Tyler) in the mountains and reflecting on my last year while thinking about my next year. I am practicing patience; working on the practice of being.

Happy Pride Month๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

At Freedwoman Retreats we connect individuals to their inner feminine through moon circles, time in nature, and yoga & meditation.

As a q***r owned business, we understand that everyone has an inner feminine, regardless of their gender or sexual identity. It's our ability to receive, our inner strength, our intuition.

Pride to us means being able to show up authentically, whether in a moon circle, on a retreat, or elsewhere.

Sometimes life can feel like you're trail running down a mountain: rocks covering the trail, tree roots jutting in every direction, and only a wide enough path for one human to navigate.

In order to keep balance you have to stay focused on the very next step. The second you lift your head to catch glimpse of the mountains, the clouds, or further down the trail, you're at risk for falling. In life, if we concern ourselves too much about the future we can become anxious, tripping over next steps, unable to move forward.

So, pay attention to what's next. Focus on what's in front of you: the next rock in your way or tree root making an appearance. You'll reach the destination in due time.ย

Still relishing in the fun of this past weekend at the .womens.climbing.fest . I am so proud to have been part of the team who put on this open and comnunity-minded event.

We started Friday night with classic Freedwoman Retreats ice breakers, which set the foundation for the weekend. On Saturday we practiced yoga led by and climbed (and changed a flat tire and found morels, which werent part of the itinerary).

Saturday evening, and I led a .beta Backcountry BroadCAST, in which members of the festival shared stories about adventuring with fellow feminine humans. 's story moved me to many tears.

On Sunday, I taught yoga to the group followed by an empowering discussion about emotions, feminity, and psychology led by the wonderful ! We also had a talk on by .e.gross .

We left on Sunday because it rained too much to climb but the festival was not lacking with the shorter day. It was a memorable experience that will forever be in my memory. I look forward to participating for years to come. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿง—๐Ÿ•๏ธ๐Ÿค โฃ๏ธ
