Not a good or even a bad day
Just a morning
Thankful to be awake
Grateful to be alive
Though not buzzing
Around like in a beehive
Trying to think how be
A functional me
My morning is different
Than your morning
Yours may be good

Bye Bye 2022
All are saying bye, bye to you
It’s the last day for you
You’ve brought nothing
But the blues
High prices for food & fuel
Earthquakes, floods, plus war
Resulting in a constant
Flow of blood
Headache and heartbreak
Nothing good 2022
You continued with covid
Though most got those shots
With boosters but still
Became Covid losers
2022 you’ve come
to your end
Without a means to mend
Some will still play this day
As some folks will celebrate
But it’s all fake
For when we all awake
The next day
Of the new year
Nothing has changed

Days and times ahead

no love calls

Yes thinking of you
reflecting about days past
But looking forward of
Times to be brand new
For more than a few

Go Away
It doesn’t go away
Even though I take
a walk down by the bay
Even though I close
My eyes for the night
I still see hurt & blight
I didn’t want you to go away
There was no control of
the throws of pain happening
in another’s brain
The question is
when will it end
For it all to go away?
It will be when the promises
Of the One above,
the God of love
Appointed time and
he gives the command
to release the forces
He has in place to remove
The thing that causes
all this mess, will it forever
