July 1, 2023: Special Education rules in Vermont are changing! No more "numbers game" as we are doing away with the requirement that students demonstrate a statistically significant discrepancy.

Expect to see more involvement in the classroom as general educators and special educators will likely and hopefully be working more closely together. The goal is to provide supports early, and we sincerely hope to see more children succeeding in school as a result.
