Heads up!

I have just set up the next Group Eat Smart Session.
It will be Saturday, June 2nd from 8 am to 10 am at Brandon Shapes. The cost is $50 members/$75 non-members.

Whether this will be your first group Eat Smart or you are ready to learn more, this class is for you. Consider it your best Nutrition 101 Course.

Due to the summer season, vacations are coming up, seasonal eating issues arise like picnics, going to beaches or amusement parks, we know its a high risk situations to discuss.

Register by May 31st. There will be a Facebook post on our Shapes Fitness For Women page to mark yourself interested or attending.

Want to shrink your size? Try these tips on for size!!!

Today's private Diet Logic sessions with Julie and Patty were filled with information and we expect great results for sure with each client's willingness to learn new behaviors, practice them and be consistent enough to allow their bodies to give feedback.

What sort of feedback should they expect after about three to four weeks?

First, since they are eating cleaner, many cravings are beginning to disappear and be replaced with all sorts of nutritious, whole foods they have found palatable.

Second, for the first time, they are waking up hungry. Hungry enough to begin eating upon rising vs putting everyone first as the hustle, bustle in the morning begins. Now the goal to eat by 8 am is attainable.

Third, by eating lower glycemic carbohydrates they are not experiencing blood sugar drops, insulin spikes and now are enabled to see their waistline shrinking as they increase their cardiovascular activity and begin to achieve a deficit in their stored fat reserves.

Fourth, with a greater sense of confidence, they are armed with eating speed and other behaviors as they consume meals. Suddenly, they feel full. The feedback, fullness is critical. Being full and satiated, touted and proven to be a sustaining benefit of a great plan.

And, knowing when to stop eating, when full will enable them to reduce the risk of over eating.

This feedback must be listened to. Validation and confirmation of the feedback helps solidify a job well done. A sense of success.

Moving on to next week, they will continue to be on the lookout for high risk eating situations and pending slip-ups. We role played about identifying emotion based eating and what actions to take. Stop, look, and listen to what is going on in the head. Keep the thinking positive and action oriented.

Utilizing the Diet Master Go Mobile AP to input intake and output, we can track progress 24/7. We utilize the ap as a compliment to our custom meal plans.

We are accepting new clients for fall. Be slim and sexy for the holidays. Now is the time to start. Get the Master Plan.

About once per month I will see a client reach their conclusion of a 4, 8, or 12 week Diet Logic program. Although bitter sweet to see them graduate, I know that during the relationship I will have given them the support and tools to be on their own.

As we have have closure, we try to recap session goals with a SWOT. This lifestyle assessment is essential.

The client works to determine barriers or obstacles they may encounter along the way that could cause a slip up or lapse. When he or she maps out their own lapse, it actually helps them understand it is possible to lapse, but the toolkit they have built during the Diet Logic program is stocked up with aids and tools to navigate lifestyle challenges.

We also celebrate successes they have had. These successes include behavior changes like cooking and prepping food, eating out less, having less emotion based eating problems, adding more exercise, etc.

We will recap body fat and inches lost. Pounds of fat lost are important, more so than what the scale says. Lean pounds gained are a huge celebration.

As we say goodbye, my final advice is always this "don't hesitate to call me for more support if you need it."

My belief is it is human nature to go from diet plan to diet plan. Diet Logic is not a diet, it a lifestyle change. There is no need to jump around or change the course if you plateau or start regaining weight. Just check all your defaults; are you getting enough activity, still prepping and planning food, limiting eating out?

Maybe new behaviors and eating patterns need to be studied and learned. Get some new Diet Logic strategies, not a new gimic or fad.

Don't make Diet Logic another program you tried, make it your lifestyle.
