Mother/Daughter Session this morning! So much fun!

Lauren has been training with me since my gym's conception! She started with Group Fitness, now trains 1:1 with me, and today... Partner Training with her daughter!

It was a delight to train Olivia and Lauren- what a sweet and fun way for them connect, laugh, move and BE together!

I mindfully programmed today's session- Low Impact HIIT with some partner based movements for fun... and of course a dose of Yin Yoga! I was able to tailor movements to meet each of their needs (progressions for Lauren), and more base style movements for Olivia (since she's newer to working out).

Thank you Lo (Lauren) for allowing me the opportunity to train you both together!! May Olivia's movement continue to be met with her loads of Love, Enthusiasm, Playfulness and Joy!

Much Love, B!

My little gym... received a little face lift- and I'm so pleased with how it all turned out!
Life has such an interesting way of unfolding- my gym and business have been a beautiful reminder of this for me.

The gym was born March 2020- when COVID shut down schools and gyms- it really just began as safe space for me to workout... a place to maintain some sense of routine and sanity, while raising 3 children during a very uncertain time.

Fast Forward 3 years... which included becoming an ACE Certified Personal Trainer (9/21)- the gym with just a squat rack, bosu and resistance bands ... has turned into a Full Gym with an aesthetic that better matches my vibe, spirit, intention and energy!

I've created a safe and sacred space where woman can be reminded of their own beauty (in and out- just as they are), where they can move freely, take UP space, breathe, laugh, cry, feel deeply... and a space where they can access, touch and feel their own inner strength and authentic power.

It's a space where I can lovingly share my style of training- integrative and functional movement that address the Whole person- balancing the Yin (feminine/soft) and Yang (masculine/strong) energies of each client. My approach includes Mobility, Strength, Endurance, Flexibility (Yin Yoga), Energy Medicine and Acupressure.

I'm incredibly thankful and so grateful for all my clients... their continued support and trust in me, has been a huge catalyst in the space unfolding and being all that it is today. With each client, I grow along side them... evolving, learning and expanding- in all ways! I extend my heartfelt and deep gratitude to each of you- for giving me an opportunity to do what I love... and what I feel I'm called to do.

Much Love and Loads of Gratitude!
Blair

What an amazing training yesterday on the basics of Applied Kinesiology with one of the best- Dr. Jacobi with Active Care Chiropractic!
The training provided really amazing tools I can quickly and easily implement with clients... tools that will help provide even more effective workouts- considering the whole person!
I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to learn from Dr. Jacobi- continuing to learn and grow... and to do it alongside a group of like minded women!
There is one thing that is certain about this industry- both yoga and fitness- the learning process is ever evolving and never-ending... I'll always be a student- and love sharing what I learn with each of you!

“How did the rose ever open its heart and give to this world all of its beauty? It felt the encouragement of Light against its being; otherwise we all remain too frightened.” Hafiz
What are the practices, where are the places, and which people do you feel the "light of encouragement" to unfold... to open up... to be your authentic and true Self?

Sit with this question... if you are unsure of the answers... start to pay attention.... Where do you FEEL most alive, free, energetic, loving, compassionate, open, creative and safe?

These are the people, places and practices that will provide you with the light and the warmth of encouragement to be beautifully YOU- whole and complete, just as you are!

Return to these places, practices and people as much as you need... remembering that everything you're seeking is already within you!

Most of you know, I was a Yin Yoga Instructor for many years before I became certified as a Personal Trainer... I'm coming up on about 10 years of teaching Yin Yoga, and almost at my 1 year mark of being a Certified Trainer.

What this means for my clients- is I'm able to offer balanced programming that helps to tend to both parts of the person- taking into account the whole person. Some of our work together is Yang (Masculine- muscular, energetic, dynamic, endurance based, etc.) and some of our work is Yin (Feminine- stretching, mindful, soft, surrendered, easy, sweet).

All that being said- I also like to teach my clients how to find the Yin within the Yang.... By balancing/harmonizing your energy- I really believe you are able to tap into your Divinely Sourced Power- allowing your workouts to be even more effective, powerful and feel even better- Body, Mind & Spirit.

Ways to Bring the Yin into the Yang:
1. Set an intention for your session- maybe it's to be mindful/connected to your breath, or to really focus on the Muscle Mind Connection (bringing awareness to the muscles that are doing the work), or perhaps it's just to stay present/in the moment, etc.

2. DITCH the timer- count reps instead. As you count it helps to take you out of your head/mind and into the present moment. Focus on quality of movement vs. quantity.

3. Release your smart watch for the session/workout- tune into your body and the present moment. Allow how you FEEL (vs your watch) to guide you. Experiment with listening to your body- you'll know when you can go a little harder/longer, or when you need to pull back to conserve energy.

4. Light a candle- make the moment special... it's an hour just for yourself.

5. Release the need for immediate results and enJOY the process. Try new things, experiment, play, let go!

6. Get outside- getting outside immediately helps to soften some of my Yang!

7. Honor what your body needs that day. If you've programmed heavier lifting, but it's NOT what your body is asking for- be willing to change plans. Just because you don't want to lift heavy that day, does not mean that you never will. Be flexible in your programming!

These are just a few of the methods/ways I help bring Yin into the Yang (strength, cardio, endurance, HIIT workouts)... as you soften (bring forth the Yin)- I guarantee you will find more ease... with ease will come greater power, strength and endurance... and with time and consistency- greater results!

Hit the beach with my client Robyne today- I love to shake things up and keep things interesting for each of my clients!

My session with Robyne today included a walk on the beach, followed up with a Full Body resistance band session! I LOVE resistance bands... honestly they are probably my number one piece of gym equipment... so effective, functional, fun anddddd portable!

Walking barefoot on the beach- just feels so good and is grounding (helps you feel more rooted, calm, in the moment)- but it's amazing movement to strengthen the feet, toes, ankles, lower body and even core!

Robyne's band session was a full body workout- really honing in today on some balance work and core- all while working her Full Body!

I'm so grateful to each of my clients for allowing me the opportunity to serve them, and for always being willing to try new and different things! From Beach Workouts, to Energy Work, Yin Yoga, Pilates, Strength Training, Cardio.... I love all forms of movement so so much and love sharing it with each of you!

Much Love! B 🌹🙏🌹

"Mature spirituality is not based in seeking perfection, on achieving some imaginary sense of purity. It is based simply on the capacity to let go and to love, to open the heart to all that is."

Mark Nepo is such an amazing author and poet- "Things that Join the Sea and the Sky" is one of my favorites of his... a book of many short poems- this (one below) being one of my favorites.

".... We carry these lists near our heart and finger them like worry beads. It doesn't matter what is on them. They are the thieves, and it is the insidious virtue to have everything in order before we live that is the greatest thief. I feel the rain drop down my neck. I think I'm becoming unfinished."

Allow the lists to rest, let them drift away- even if for just a little- give your body space and time to rest, and just BE. As you create this space- you're creating the ideal conditions (that your body deeply craves and seeks) to rest, recover and recharge. When it's time to "do", when it's time to "perform" you'll be ready, refueled and more than capable!

I've intermittent fasted for quite a while... but have recently started eating breakfast and it feels so good! This is my typical breakfast: 3 hard boiled eggs (1 with yolk, other 2 just whites), 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/4 cup fresh blueberries, little bit of slivered almonds and 1 tsp of local honey!
Beginning my day this way is helping me feel a lot more balanced, grounded, rooted and even.
If I workout early, I eat this as soon as I'm done working out... if I train a little later in the day- I gobble this up about an hour or so after waking (water and coffee first, always... lol).
Moral of the story is be open to trying new things- pay attention to how your body feels... despite what other people or even experts say.... Remain open to making shifts that are in better alignment with your current needs! I'm still open to intermittent fasting and really believe it it's benefits- but for now- this is just right!
Much Love! B

"Right now, and in every now-moment, you are either closing or opening. You are either stressfully waiting for something - more money, security, affection - or you are living from your deep heart, opening as the entire moment, and giving what you most deeply desire to give, without waiting."
