“Today, I Begin Anew”
by Kevin Roberts
Today’s a new day, the skies have turned clear,
I’m shedding the weight of doubt and of fear.
No longer enslaved by what held me tight,
I’m stepping in truth, I’m walking in light.
The voices that echoed with limits and blame,
The habits that shackled—they won’t stay the same.
I bless them, release them, and bid them goodbye,
Their lessons remain, but I’m ready to fly.
I’m making more room for blessings to land,
With openwide heart and outstretched hand.
Abundance now flows where clutter once stayed,
A temple reborn where shadows have swayed.
I breathe with intention, I speak with grace,
I honor the journey, each turn, every pace.
Though pain was a teacher, and loss left a scar,
They carved out the strength that brought me this far.
Today I give thanks—for breath, for flame,
For silence and song, for peace without name.
For all that has been, for what lies ahead,
For dreams yet to blossom, for tears I have shed.
I am enough—no need to pretend,
Worthy of joy that never must end.
I walk now in wholeness, in courage and might,
A bearer of healing, a bringer of light.
