Let’s talk Hiit (high intensity interval training) ... to be honest I’m not really a burst of energy kind of person, especially at 4am 😂 but with 4 kids and me starting school full-time I’ve had to make a few changes.
Since your body easily adapts to cardio, I would constantly have to increase the time of my SS (steady state) cardio and TIME is what I don’t have a lot of.
What is Hiit? It is a form of interval training, alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods.
There are many amazing benefits to Hiit: shorter exercise time, increased reliance on fat as energy source, increased # of mitochondria, greater endurance of slow-twitch muscle fibers, and greater amount of EPOC (burning calories after training) and many more.
Hiit also requires little to no equipment so it is easily done anywhere even at home. Just one 4 minute interval sequence a day can help you stay on track for weight loss.
More is not always better, sometimes better is better. So work SMARTER not harder👌

There are so many different ways to ensure you are living a healthy lifestyle. One of the most beneficial, but often overlooked is sleep 💤. Sleep is crucial for muscle recovery and growth. When sleeping your body releases as much as 75% of the human “growth hormone” which helps regulate body composition, muscle and bone growth, as well as sugar and fat metabolism.
Lack of sleep can cause changes in hormones that regulate hunger and appetite which can cause overeating and weight gain. Not to mention, lack of sleep can affect your cortisol levels, which affects how you handle stress and can leave you in that ill grumpy mood funk all day 😂😂
So instead of binge watching that show on Netflix 😁 start making it a habit to go to bed earlier and improve your overall health!!
