My heart is heavy this morning as I scroll social media and see the faces of those missing in Texas…it’s especially heavy for the families of the sweet girls who were away at summer camp…I think of my own camp experience as a wee girl and those of all the children of my friends and family…tragedy is never apart of those memories or pictures for me…I can not imagine what these families are feeling at this moment…

It’s okay to shut down a little this morning in the midst of this concern, loss, pain…whatever you’re feeling…shutting down may look like sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee/tea and gazing out the window; it may be taking a walk in your neighborhood or local park/woods; it may be hugging your own sweet child, pup, cat, etc. It’s okay to stop, breathe, remember, reflect, and just pause…this is too heavy to carry around today! Take care of you while feeling empathy and hope for others…
