Fire log pose (agnistambhasana) is known by several other names as well: ankle-to-knee pose, double pigeon, full pigeon and possibly others. Whatever you choose to call it, this pose is highly effective for getting a deep stretch in the outer hip of the whichever leg is resting on top.

Eagle, or garudasana, is a balance pose that strengthens and stretches many areas of the body at once all while improving balance. Here’s a modified version where the legs remain on the ground instead of balancing on one leg.

The point of yoga is not to "achieve" a pose, but to embrace wherever you are in this exact moment. Yoga should meet you where you are in whatever moment you choose to practice. Trying trickier poses is meant to be fun! It doesn't matter if you can do them right now or not; they will always be there for you! In fact, trying and "failing" a pose (assuming you're doing so safely) is a great sign that you're exploring what your body can do and finding your limits! So, as much as is safe for you to do, give a few poses a try that you can't quite do yet. Most importantly, remember that the success is not in the outcome but in the effort.

Cow face pose (gomukasana) provides the opportunity for a, typically, gentle stretch through the outer hip of the top leg while providing deep stretch through the inner shoulder of the top arm and front shoulder of the lower arm. Have you tried it?

Extended Puppy Pose (uttana shishosana) is excellent for achieving a deep inner-shoulder stretch without straining the wrists or elbows.

Crane pose (bakasana) shares many similarities with crow pose (kakasana). They are both inverted balance poses. They both engage the hip flexors, upper back, shoulders, arms, and core. But the biggest difference is that, in crane, the elbows are straight with the knees pulled up to the outside of the underarms. Give it a try!

Cow pose (goasana) and Butterfly pose (baddha konasana or bound angle) are great, easy poses for children to learn.
