Some songs don’t just play, they live inside you.
Purple Rain has always been one of those songs for me. The lyrics, the vulnerability, the way it feels both tender and powerful all at once. Prince had this rare gift of turning emotion into color, sound into feeling — and that spirit is woven into every strand of this yarn.
When I created the mood board, I wasn’t thinking about trends or formulas. I was thinking about how the song feels when it hits you in the chest. The longing. The release. The beauty of standing in your truth, even when it’s messy. Dyeing this color felt like translating music into fiber — letting the purple deepen, soften, and glow the way the song does when it lingers after the last note fades.
That’s the heart of the Full Spectrum Yarn Club. Color as emotion. Color as story. Color as memory. Starting this journey with one of my favorite songs ever made felt like opening the door and saying, this is what this club is about.
The love you all showed for the very first month was overwhelming in the best way. Thank you for trusting me with this vision, for embracing the mystery, and for standing with us as this story unfolds — one color, one song, one feeling at a time.
