Big news for Fairview: 24/7 emergency care could be coming closer to home! 🚑💙

We're excited to share that TriStar Horizon Medical Center has announed plans to apply for a Certificate of Need with the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission to establish a $21 million freestanding emergency room at 2273 Fairview Blvd.

If approved, TriStar Fairview ER would be Fairview’s first department, expanding access to 24/7 emergency care for families in western Williamson County and parts of Dickson and Hickman counties. It would also be Williamson County's second freestanding emergency department, joining TriStar Nolensville ER.

“This project is about meeting patients where they are,” said Wyatt Chocklett, chief executive officer of TriStar Horizon. “By bringing this proposed emergency department directly into the community, we can improve access, reduce travel time and ensure patients receive high-quality treatment close to home.”

What's planned:
✅ 11 treatment rooms, including a trauma room
✅ On-site laboratory and imaging services
✅ Acceptance of most major insurance plans, including TennCare

Every day, we put our hearts into caring for our cardiac patients—but this time, we used the strength of our network to care for one of our own.

A year ago, a routine winter chore took a frightening turn for Roy Tyler, operating room manager at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. While shoveling snow in his driveway, Roy suddenly felt chest tightness and pain.

He was rushed to the very hospital where he has spent his career safeguarding the well-being of patients. After receiving immediate care in the cardiac cath lab, his care team determined he needed a higher level of specialized treatment. Moving quickly, they coordinated his transfer to TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, where another dedicated cardiac team was already preparing for his arrival. There, he underwent open heart surgery, placing him firmly on the path to recovery.

From rapid clinical decisions to compassionate support every step of the way, Roy’s care spanned facilities but never skipped a beat.

Today, Roy is back in his driveway, shoveling snow comfortably, pain free and deeply grateful for the second chance he received.

We’re proud to partner with Humphreys County Schools to help students and staff learn lifesaving skills.

Last week, the district recognized our team at TriStar Horizon Medical Center for bringing Stop the Bleed, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training to local schools. As part of this work, we donated bleeding control kits for every classroom at McEwen High School and Waverly Central High School.

Thank you to the educators, parents and students — including HOSA and Student Council leaders — who help make this training possible.

Happy Valentine’s Day from our tiniest sweethearts! 💕

These precious newborns made their arrival at TriStar Centennial Women's Hospital just in time for Valentine’s Day. After birth, they transitioned to the TriStar Centennial Children's Hospital Level III NICU, where they're receiving the specialized care they need to grow stronger each day.

Our NICU babies may be small, but the love surrounding them is mighty. From baby cupids to love bugs, it's an honor to care for these brave little warriors as they celebrate their very first holiday.
