We are grateful for the opportunity to expand access to high-quality, 24/7 emergency care for so many who call Murfreesboro home!

Big News for Rutherford County!

We’re excited to announce that the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission has approved our Certificate of Need to build TriStar Murfreesboro ER–a new freestanding emergency room coming to the Barfield community!

This $19 million facility will bring 24/7 emergency care closer to home with:
- 11 treatment rooms
- 1 trauma room
- Lab & advanced imaging
- 3-bay ground transport base

As one of the fastest-growing areas in Tennessee, Murfreesboro deserves faster, more accessible emergency care–and we’re proud to deliver it.

Thank you to our community, leaders and team members who helped make this possible.

Donate blood. Honor courage. Support kids like Kaemey. 🎗️💛

This Childhood Cancer and Blood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re celebrating brave kids like Kaemey, who is battling leukemia. The 13-year-old has faced many challenges during her treatment journey over the past year, but thanks to her compassionate care team at TriStar Centennial Children's Hospital, she's remained hopeful even during some of her toughest days.

Kaemey recently wrote a letter thanking Morgan, one of our Child Life Specialists, for simply being there.

"I don’t think you realize just how much you mean to me. There’s something about the way you’re there for me—especially during tough moments—that makes everything feel a little more bearable," Kaemey wrote. "You have this incredible calming presence that I’ve come to rely on, especially during procedures or times when I’m anxious. Just knowing you’re there helps me feel grounded and safe. That kind of peace you bring—it’s rare."

We admire Kamey’s courage and remain committed to her care.

Did you know? For some children with leukemia, a blood stem cell transplant is the only potential cure. As part of HCA Healthcare, we’re proud to help meet this critical need through the HCA Healthcare Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network. This extensive network is among the largest providers of unrelated bone marrow donor transplants in the U.S., caring for tens of thousands of patients each year.

Your blood stem cells could be Kaemey’s or someone else’s best hope for a cure. Learn more and join the National Marrow Donor Program registry at https://bit.ly/4gIDM1w

700+ colleagues across our family of hospitals joined the American Heart Association on Saturday for the 2025 Greater Nashville Heart Walk at GEODIS Park! Together with HCA Healthcare, we proudly raised more than $121,800 for research aimed at preventing and treating heart disease and stroke – the leading cause of death worldwide.

We had a wonderful time bringing awareness, volunteering and walking alongside so many inspiring survivors across the finish line. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us in moving heart and stroke care forward, one step at a time.

In our neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), our caregivers support babies born prematurely or with certain medical conditions. This , we're celebrating our tiniest, most resilient patients and the teams who care for them.

NICU nurses at TriStar Centennial Medical Center gathered to read a letter from a patient's family, filled with gratitude and memories from the earliest days of life. Aubree was born at 24 weeks. During her long stay, Aubree's mother also faced the unimaginable — losing her own mother. In the midst of grief and uncertainty, she found comfort and strength in the nurses who stood by her side.

This is a glimpse into the bonds that last long after a hospital stay ends. From soothing cries, to celebrating milestones, TriStar Health's six NICU teams pour compassion and skill into every touch, every feed and every moment of care.

Each year, our family of hospitals unite to support the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund — a lifeline for our colleagues facing unexpected hardship. Since its inception in 2005, the Hope Fund has supported more than 50,000 families, distributing over $121 million in assistance, all thanks to the generosity of fellow team members.

This week, we reflect on what caring like family really means through fundraising activities and sharing stories of hope like Yvonne Glass's. A music therapist at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, Yvonne turned to her TriStar family and the Hope Fund for help during two separate occasions: when her daughter was diagnosed with cancer and after a house fire. Watch to learn more about Yvonne’s story and how the Hope Fund made a difference.

❤️ – or atrial fibrillation – is a disruption in the heart’s electrical system, leading to an irregular heartbeat. The American Heart Association estimates that over 5 million Americans are living with AFib. Symptoms vary from one person to another, and some people may not have any symptoms at all. Those with AFib have a higher risk of stroke, heart failure and other health concerns. Fortunately, there are a variety of treatment options, which can help reduce the risk.

If you’re living with AFib and you’re looking for support and resources, visit the American Heart Association’s My AFib Experience® website: https://bit.ly/3Vo86ol

In collaboration with the American Heart Association, our larger HCA Healthcare network promotes better heart health through national education efforts and community integration to teach about healthy heart activities, CPR emergency response and knowing the symptoms of heart issues.

Within our network, we have over 100 heart specialists in over 30 locations who are highly experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of AFib, coronary artery disease and more. Today, and every day, we honor and remember the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. Our hearts are with the families, survivors and all who were forever changed by that day. Together with our HCA Healthcare family, we reflect on the courage of our first responders and everyday citizens who acted with extraordinary bravery. We will never forget.

Su***de is a leading cause of death for young people age 15 to 24 in the U.S., according to the CDC. Knowing su***de warning signs like these from the American Psychological Association can make all the difference. They’re not always easy to spot – something as simple as a lack of response to praise or a change in physical appearance or hygiene could be cause for concern, so it’s important to recognize even the most subtle changes and know how to respond.
