Getting more sleep is something that's so easy to do, and yet most of us push it and try to stay up later, thinking just this once. We're scrolling or binging on Netflix, or whatever, and it just ruins our sleep.

Who even uses hot rollers anymore? Well, I've never stopped using them. I've tried all the other stuff, curling irons, etc., but I sure like hot rollers and I'll show up in them, too.

Our Thoughts Directly Imprint Themselves On Our Lives

When you tell someone they look good for their age, it implies that the person maybe looks younger than they are, which is a positive. However, it can also carry the implication that aging is inherently associated with a decline in appearance, which can be hurtful.

Another study* just came out, a so-called scoping review of systematic reviews and meta-analyses looking at the association between dairy intake and multiple health outcomes, early death, etc. etc.

The results were once again that dairy was not associated with any health problems. Indeed there were strong indications that it was protective against heart disease and various types of cancer. They even found evidence that dairy was probably improving body composition, reducing type 2 diabetes, and improving bone health.

Overall, out of all of the health associations reviewed, 37.7% of them linked dairy consumption to a reduced risk, 48% showed no association at all, and only 4.3% indicated an increased risk of any adverse health outcomes with dairy consumption. Ten percent were totally inconclusive.

I think it’s time to call it. No more studies, no more research, no more reviews or meta-analyses. We need to accept the fact that all the evidence we have points to dairy being at worst harmless and at best beneficial for health.

This is a substance that is expressly created to be consumed by mammals, mammals like you and me. It is food in the most pure sense. It is trying to be eaten.

We have entire civilizations that sprung up because they were able to harness the power of dairy animals. We have the existence of incredible foods like cheese and yogurt and butter that taste too damn good and have too many proven benefits to somehow be bad.

It’s time to accept the fact that dairy is good for you. It’s time to move on and direct our energy to other pursuits, other avenues of research.
