Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes a sense of renewal, color, and joy here at our Journeys Memory Care. 🌸
As part of our Journeys Program, we focus on meaningful, sensory-based experiences that allow residents to stay engaged in ways that feel natural and fulfilling. Adrienne recently spent time arranging flowers—an activity she truly enjoys. Using her hands and interacting with vibrant colors and textures can be incredibly stimulating and comforting.
Sensory activities are a cornerstone of our programming on Journeys Memory Care. Many of our residents are highly tactile, and even individuals living with advanced dementia can still experience connection and purpose through activities such as flower arranging, folding laundry, and other hands-on tasks. These moments may seem simple, but they provide familiarity, dignity, and joy.
As we look forward to the arrival of spring, we’re excited to continue creating opportunities like this—where residents can engage their senses, express themselves, and enjoy the beauty of the season together. 🌷
