Please join us in celebrating Rachel Dennison, our May Employee of the Month at the Wellness Center!

Rachel is our amazing Domestic Violence Intervention Specialist at the Abuse Intervention Program in Salem County! She’s not just pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; she’s on a thrilling journey to become an outstanding therapist. With her incredible drive, passion, compassion, and dedication, Rachel lights up our team!

Not only does she bring her A-game every day, but she also goes above and beyond by helping other programs with their events and group activities. Talk about a team player! One of Rachel’s most impressive traits is her ability to stay organized and thrive under pressure—she truly is the backbone of our program!

Her knack for juggling multiple roles while making a real difference in the fight against domestic violence, all through evidence-based techniques, is nothing short of extraordinary. We’re beyond proud to have Rachel on our team. Congratulations, Rachel—you’ve earned every bit of this recognition, and we can’t wait to see how far you’ll go!

Part 2 of “Things I Wish People Knew About Neurodivergence” 💭✨

Not every struggle is visible.
Sometimes neurodivergence looks like overthinking, masking, burnout, sensory overwhelm, people-pleasing, or feeling “too much” in spaces that weren’t built with you in mind.

This series is about creating understanding, reducing shame, and making room for different ways of thinking, feeling, learning, and existing. 💙

You deserve support that honors who you are — not who others expect you to be.

For Mental Health Awareness Month, we took time to pour back into the people who spend every day caring for others. 💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡💚

At the Gateway Wellness Center Staff Appreciation Day, our team enjoyed yoga, chair massages, amazing food, and a chance to slow down, connect, and recharge together.

The work our staff does for the mental health and wellbeing of others never goes unnoticed, so it was wonderful to create a space focused on caring for them, too. I hope everyone felt appreciated and enjoyed a well-deserved break!

There are so many things neurodivergent individuals and families experience that often go unseen or misunderstood. This series is about learning, unlearning, acceptance, and creating more inclusive spaces for everyone. 💙
Part 1 starts the conversation by sharing real experiences, perspectives, and reminders that can help us move from judgment to understanding.
Whether you’re neurodivergent, supporting someone who is, or simply wanting to learn more — you belong here. 🌈

🌟 Employee of the Month Spotlight 🌟

Please join us in celebrating Sadale, our March Employee of the Month at the Wellness Center!

Sadale has really stepped up this past month, and it shows.

He handles his responsibilities, supports multiple programs, and when something needs to get done, he’s there with no hesitation.

He doesn’t just do his job, he leans in and helps wherever he’s needed.

What stands out most is how he shows up for the youth. He connects with the kids in a real way and is a strong, positive role model, especially for the young men in our community. That kind of presence matters, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

He’s reliable, a team player, and someone we’re grateful to have on this team. We’re looking forward to his continued growth.
Congratulations, Sadale 👏🏽
