Nutrition is a large part of the way I approach my personal life and massage business. I often hear of emotional and physical concerns from clients, who attribute massage benefits to related conditions. More recently I’ve been able to discuss nutritional concerns with several of my clients, which has given me the courage to post the following personal story and photos.
The past several years for me have been a roller coaster. After personal and family physical, mental and emotional battles, and not the best coping skills, I was left with about half the amount of hair I once had. After a season of hearing excuses from physicians, having blood tests return “normal”, and wondering if I would go bald (literally losing gobs of hair each wash) I finally took a serious look at my nutrition and identified the gaps in my diet and needs. Along with hair care changes, increasing protein intakes and starting collagen supplements with added peptides I am seeing far less shedding and more regrowth than I have had in a years (I pulled my hair up and shook out the newer growth for the photos). To anyone in similar circumstances, there is hope at the end of the tunnel, and for many, it starts with nutrition. I’d love to hear from anyone with similar concerns or needs, shared and applied knowledge can change the world.
