Some people say they have no interest in searching their family history. Let dead dogs lie they say. The real reason behind this could be they are afraid of what they may learn. People need to realize that every family tree contains a black sheep or two. It adds a little color to our family trees. But also revealed are some very remarkable, interesting , beautiful and proud stories. The one piece of advice I can give those that are reluctant is that you can’t take the blame for what your ancestors did nor can you take credit for their achievements. Learning your history is a wonderful and exciting journey and one you shouldn’t miss out on.

I am a proud descendant of Irish, german and english ancestors. We are all immigrants and everyone deserves respect . I believe in Americas promise of a better life, our constitution, WE THE PEOPLE, freedom of the press, the right to vote, and the right to congregate and peacefully protest. I believe in a higher power and live by the 10 commandments. This is who I am, choose carefully who you follow or you could loose it all.

I just donated this brass doorknob to the Bridgewater Historical Society along with the history of the shoe industry. George Keith founded the Walk-Over shoe company in Brockton, Ma in 1874. This doorknob was saved from the Walk-Over Club as it was demolished. It shows Keith walking over the shoe.

Continually finding information to where I have hand written updates to Forever Laced. One update I was excited for was finding a picture of Mathias. Learning what happened to Buzz after he went blind helped to complete his story. Finding causes of death of Ada and Nellie answered any speculation I had.
