Please note new car seat laws taking effect tomorrow, 4/2/2025 in Michigan.
• Michigan's updated car seat law requires children under 2 years old to be in a rear-facing car seat.
• Children aged 2-5 should use a front-facing car seat with an internal harness, with straps that go over the shoulders and around the hips.
• Children under 8 or shorter than 4 feet 9 inches must use a booster seat.
• Children under the age of 13 must ride in the rear seat of a vehicle if the vehicle has one available.

The joy of Rx Kids is spreading!

Successfully launched in Flint in 2024, the program is now coming to the Eastern UP!

Rx Kids is a program that provides all pregnant moms in Alger, Chippewa, Luce, Mackinac, and Schoolcraft counties with no-strings-attached cash prescription of $1,500 during pregnancy and $500 each month throughout the baby's first 6 months of life.

Applications can be taken starting March 3, 2025.
