“I was given this life because I’m strong enough to handle it.” 💪

Last week, one of our amazing patients at our Bristol clinic reached an exciting milestone. She was upgraded from her preparatory prosthesis to her permanent one!
The first thing she wanted to do? Go outside and walk in the grass. 🌿

She immediately noticed how much more stable she felt, and she was amazed at the movement of the ankle and the confidence it gave her on uneven ground.

💙Her biggest goal has always been to stay active for her children — and moments like this remind us why we do what we do.💙

At Anchor Brace & Limb, we specialize in custom cranial remolding helmets designed to treat:
✅ Brachycephaly
✅ Plagiocephaly
✅ Scaphocephaly
✅ …and combination head shapes!

We proudly offer both Orthomerica STARband® helmets and 3D–printed helmet options, helping little ones across Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky reach healthy head shape milestones. 💙

Our team provides routine follow-ups approximately every 2 weeks to monitor growth and make sure everything is progressing just right. We also encourage lots of tummy time at home, which plays a HUGE role in successful treatment.

✨ Timing matters! Cranial remolding works best during rapid growth windows. That’s why we offer FREE consultations around ages 4–6 months. Catching these asymmetries early can:
✅ Increase treatment success
✅ Reduce how long a child needs to wear the helmet
✅ Improve overall symmetry outcomes

Just a few days ago, some of our team had the opportunity to attend the AOPA National Conference in Orlando, Florida! 🌴☀️

It was an incredible few days filled with learning, collaboration, and innovation. We connected with friends and colleagues from across the country and had the privilege of reuniting with current faculty from Northwestern University Prosthetic-Orthotics Center, including Chris Robinson, a great faculty mentor whom we had the pleasure of learning from. 🙌

From exploring new technologies to discussing best practices in orthotics and prosthetics, this conference reminded us how important lifelong learning is to serving our patients with excellence.

We’re excited to bring these insights back to Anchor Brace & Limb and continue raising the standard of care in our community. 💙⚓
