Are you or ?? Or maybe you have a friend, family member, coworker or intimate partner who is .. If so, this might help to understand why we [as an autistic individual] have "seemingly so easily/quickly"... In reality, typically, for me personally, a meltdown has been building up... and then π₯ πthe flood gates are open and I might cry, panic, hyperventilate, rock back and forth, scream or even a combination of all of those. When I was younger, in my teens, I used to inflict pain on myself. During my 20s I used alcohol to blackout and once I started drinking, if "party favors" were around or offered, it was game on. I didn't know I had until I was 37, then at 41 I was .. I've had and for the majority of my life, however my most recent reevaluation [1 month ago- I'm 43] the therapist used the PCL-5 test and my score was a 56!!! A FREAKING 56 DUDE!!!!! A score of 31-33 is indicative of PTSD being present... So, a score of 56???? That's severe and greatly impacts daily functioning... ON TOP OF MY ohhhh and let me not forget about the ...
