The Youth Health Advisory Council (YHAC) of the Hometown Healthcare Academy is excited to host a Toy Drive and Santas Workshop event for the Brockton community! Let’s come together to spread joy and support local families this holiday season. ❤️

On Wednesday October 29 our youth health advisory council (YHAC) participated in Brockton High School’s Trunk or Treat! Being apart of the community & staying involved is extremely important to our program! The YHAC chose the theme of my little pony and did an amazing job interacting with the kiddos, fellow peers and parents of the Brockton community! We even were visited by City Councilor at Large Moises Rodrigues as he made his rounds throughout the event! Our youth were very happy and invited him to speak at a future general health education event about advocacy, community service & local policy!

Come join us tomorrow, bring the little ones! Hometown Healthcare Academy will be there with our trunk design and decorated by our YHAC members, who will also be there giving out candy, and supporting our community!

Our Career-Steppers, taking part in their hands on training for their Medical Assistant program. They learned about Hippa, OSHA, Blood borne pathogens, and how to properly put on and take off PPE. With our Program manager Laritza Perez as the instructor, the students did amazing and are working hard to be the next future Medical Assistants!
