Adrienne's Army

Adrienne's Army Adrienne’s Army is a nonprofit organization established in the memory of Adrienne Toth. You know the deep love she had for her family. YOU ARE Adrienne’s Army.

It is a nonprofit organization that helps raise money for cancer research through Metavivor and financial assistance to individuals and families battling cancer. Our friend, Adrienne Litman Toth, was diagnosed with Stage Two Breast Cancer on October 2, 2012. For those of you that had the pleasure of calling Adrienne your friend or family member, you know the big-hearted, compassionate, caring pers

on that she was. You have had the opportunity to admire the fun, loving and generous heart she had. And you knew her determination, her strength and her will to fight. Adrienne was originally from Brookfield, OH and resided after marriage, with her husband Dean, in the Sharon, PA area. Shortly after celebrating their first anniversary, they were announcing that they were expecting their first child in May 2013. Adrienne’s Army is a non-profit organization that was designed and intended to support Adrienne and her husband, Dean, with their out-of-pocket expenses and financial hardship related to the treatment of this diagnosis. Adrienne had chosen an aggressive course of treatment and had begun the fight of her life. That treatment did not achieve the results we were hoping for, nor was it successful in delaying her dream to raise her son with Dean, as a family. Adrienne passed away on December 19, 2015. So we have continued to “fight the fight” for her. You are a group of friends, family and even strangers that have banded together to stand behind Adrienne when she needs you most. As Adrienne’s Army, we will guarantee that Adrienne was not in this fight alone - we will continue to march for her in this battle. This means WAR, CANCER!!!!

Today marks 10 years since we lost our girl, Adrienne Litman-Toth to metastatic breast cancer. A decade without her beautiful smile, her incredible spirit, her caring heart, and the warmth she brought into every room. Adrienne had a rare gift of making everyone feel welcome and a part of the crowd. She was a friend to all, someone who truly saw people and loved them well.

So much has changed over the past ten years, yet one thing remains the same, she is deeply missed. We do our best to carry her memory with us every day, holding close the laughter, kindness, and love she shared so freely.

Adrienne’s light continues to live on in the lives she touched, and her spirit will never be forgotten. And we will continue her mission of helping those who are battling this awful disease.

We love and miss you endlessly, Adrienne. Until we see you again 🩷

💜💜 October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the impact this disease has on so many lives. In the United States, breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among women, with about 1 in 8 facing a diagnosis in their lifetime. Advances in research and early detection have improved survival rates, but continued awareness, screenings, and support remain vital. This month, we honor survivors, remember those we have lost, like our Adrienne, and stand with everyone affected by breast cancer. 💜💜

This is more than just "PINK" Please donate your dollars to causes like METAvivor.org, where every single dollar donated goes to researching and helping those fighting this awful disease.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Day 1

Understanding Metastatic Breast Cancer:
Metastatic breast cancer (MBC) is the stage where the disease becomes life-threatening. This occurs when breast cancer cells break away from the original tumor and spread to other parts of the body, such as the bones, liver, lungs, or brain. Regardless of where the cancer spreads, it remains breast cancer—meaning that liver metastasis is not classified as liver cancer. Once breast cancer has metastasized, it is considered incurable and ultimately fatal.

At METAvivor, our mission is to fund critical research aimed at unraveling the complexities of breast cancer metastasis. We are dedicated to finding out how and why this process occurs and developing more effective, well-tolerated treatments to halt its spread. Every breast cancer patient, regardless of their stage, stands to benefit from this research. By stopping metastasis, we can significantly reduce the risk of the disease affecting vital organs and, ultimately, save lives.

Don’t ignore stage IV. Together, we can make a difference.

We couldn’t do any of this without the support of all of you 🩷 Thanks for always keeping our girls memory alive.
