Decluttering isn't deprivation - I said this over and over in my head after reading it. It really resonated with me. Decluttering is often looked at as such a chore - and I understand why - the process of not being sure what to keep and what to let go is very personal and it can be challenging. Help is available 🙂 Consider the diamond in the rough. In order for a diamond to shine it must be removed from the rock, separated, cut away, shaped and polished. Our homes too need refinement - the cutting away of unneeded, unused, and unwanted items allowing what truly matters and is useful to shine! The development and refinement of our home is also good for our mental and emotional health. It all works together.

Pet hair extraction day. Finding little fibers of four legged furry love all the way up the walls. A thorough vacuum of walls, floors, and edging make way for the handyman to do wall repairs and painting.

Summer seems to fly by so quickly in South Dakota… is it the same where you are? What will you miss about summer? What are you looking forward to with fall approaching?

I will miss the fair weather days and blue skies, my kids running around in shorts and teeshirts, popsicles on a hot day and thunder storms ~ but cant wait for spooky season, light sweaters, and fall colors.
