Join us on Thursday April 21st at 6pm for a EURAXESS North America - HBA-USA - STARS Joint Network Event on US Visa. This event aims at informing European Scientific Diaspora researchers on their visa options to continue their research in the USA. An overview of the visa options will be given by Brendan Delaney of the Frank & Delaney Immigration Law and Q&A will follow. We are excited to announce our new academic initiative co-organized by HBA-USA and The Circle of Hellenic Academics in Boston. Our “Job Talk Mentoring Workshop” aims to provide a platform for career development to our members.

During our inaugural session we welcomed esteemed academics Gerasimos Makrigiorgos and Ioannis Zervantonakis, who provided feedback on a job talk by Georgios Polychronidis! Thank you all for making it such a successful event.

We are pleased to announce the Grand Round in Medicine, on Thursday April 14, 15:00 – 16:00 Athens time, organized by the Medical School of the University of Crete and the Hellenic Bioscientific Association of the USA. The goal of the initiative is to bring cutting edge knowledge in daily medical practice and connect the Medical School with distinguished Greek physicians/ scientists working in the USA. Grand Rounds are an essential element of medical education in North America going back decades. The Hellenic Bioscientific Association in the USA (HBA-USA) and the University of Crete are thrilled to announce a series of virtual lectures with distinguished speakers from the USA open to all colleagues in Greece and beyond. Medical students, trainees, specialists and faculty will be able to attend lectures of the highest quality in which their colleagues in North America participate as part of their intense training. We will continue to build bridges between the USA and Greece, to advance education and ultimately patient care.

The series of Grand Rounds in Medicine, a collaboration of the University of Crete, Medical School with the Hellenic Bioscientific Association in the USA, start on Thursday February 17, 15:00-16:00, Athens time.
The lectures are open via zoom.
