What is reflex integration therapy?

Reflex integration therapy is a type of therapy that helps children integrate their primary reflexes. Primary reflexes are automatic movements that are present at birth or shortly after, and they help babies survive and develop in their first year of life. However, these reflexes should disappear or integrate as the child grows older and develops more complex skills. 🌱

Sometimes, these reflexes do not integrate properly and they remain active or retained. This can cause problems for the child.

Reflex integration therapy aims to help the child integrate their retained reflexes by providing specific sensory and motor stimulation that mimics the natural development of the reflexes.
